Master Catalog Overview

The master catalog is the primary set of all your products and SKUs in your account.

Products are the goods that you sell. This object holds key information like the Product Name, Brand, Description and also the Attributes that can be used to define its variations (Variation Parameters – eg. Color, Size, Shape, etc.).

Each product has a unique product code. Products do not hold any stock – they have child objects called SKUs which eventually hold inventory.

Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) belong to products and it is SKUs that hold inventory. A products can have one SKU ( in case of a non-variant product) or multiple SKUs (in case of a variant product). Each variation is a separate SKU. Each SKU will have a unique SKU code as well as Barcode.

A Bundle is an SKU that acts as a Set/kit/combo of SKUs. Each Bundle SKU can have multiple Child SKUs with corresponding quantities.

When an order is placed for a Bundle SKU, Primaseller will block the inventory of the Child SKUs.
